Hibikinada Green Park

The largest park in Kitakyushu City provides a relaxing space for families at the 4 hectare Large Lawn Open Space located in its center.
The Green Park is full of attractions such as a flora and fauna observation space where visitors can see the largest butterflies in Japan and feel like they are in a subtropical zone. It also features interactions with ponies, goats, kangaroos and other small animals, and a children's playground with an outdoor obstacle course and swings.
There is a cycling course and a boat ride area nearby. When you reserve a BBQ facility at the Beer Terrace, you can arrive empty-handed as everything is supplied. You can enjoy an entire day at the park, including a memorable lunchtime. The large parking lot makes it easy to bring the whole family.

Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History

In the History of the Earth and Life Zone, dinosaurs you may have seen in movies and picture books actually tower in front of you! Overwhelming life-sized dinosaurs such as this cannot be seen elsewhere. This huge museum provides a rest area and benches in the exhibition rooms to allow you to take regular breaks during your museum tour.
The playroom for small children has dinosaur puzzles and a slide to keep kids busy. There are also restrooms with baby beds and a nursing room.

Mojiko Retro

Mojiko Retro

The most popular spot for family tourists is the Kyushu Railway History Museum, where both adults and children will have the thrill of driving a mini train, and where everyone can enjoy the exhibition of trains no longer in service.
Children's Plaza in the Kanmon Kaikyo Museum, with its variety of playground equipment, is another recommended spot for small children.
For lunch, be sure to enjoy Moji's specialty, baked curry. There are a variety of shops in the Mojiko Retro area, from shops with inexpensive items to high-end shops.
For souvenirs and such, stop by Kaikyo Plaza for casual shopping.
