Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art (Main Building ‧ Annex ‧ Riverwalk Gallery)

The main building in Tobata-ku is a famous early work of Arata Isozaki. He was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize (called the "Nobel prize of architecture"). The museum is also widely recognized as it is often used as a movie filming location. It houses about 7,500 works, including Yayoi Kusama and Basquiat. The Riverwalk Gallery is located in a commercial facility in Kokurakita-ku.
