Seismosaurus Hallorum (Replica)

Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History

This herbivorous dinosaur lived in North America in the Late Jurassic Period. As a sauropod with a total length of 35 meters, it was one of the largest known dinosaurs. They were thought to have moved their long necks to the right and left to eat plants from a wide area around them. Recent studies have revealed that Seismosaurus was one speceis of the Diplodocus.
