Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History(History of Kitakyushu (After the Meiji Period))

Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) was active from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China. He led the Xinhai Revolution in 1911, overthrew the Qing Dynasty and founded the Republic of China. Keiichiro Yasukawa had offered financial support to Sun Yat-sen during this time. When Sun Yat-sen came to Japan in 1913, he visited the Meiji College of Technology and Yasukawa's house. This calligraphy was presented to Yasukawa by Sun Yat-sen on that occasion.
